Bassam is a technical expert in structures and their behaviour. He is an accomplished engineer, with a passion for innovation, value-engineering and sustainability. With over 30 years of engineering experience in the construction industry, spread across 3 continents, Bassam has successfully delivered elegant and economical solutions for complicated architectural forms and challenging site constraints.
Bassam’s dedication and diligence have seen both him and his projects the recipient of prestigious awards throughout his career, including:
- Australian MBA-National Building Award (2017) for the Church House project
- Award for Excellence in Engineering (2014): Top-Down Construction design for Cockburn Gateway City – Stage III Development by Concrete Institute of Australia, WA Branch
- Australian Engineering Excellence Award (2011) for the structural design of the State Theatre Centre of WA
- High Commendation from the Concrete Institute of Australia for Excellence in Concrete: Building Projects Category (2011) for the design of St. Quentin’s Mixed-Use Development
